Master of Arts [M.A] Sociology
MA in Sociology is a 1-year program offered on a full-time basis. University provides the flexibility to complete the program in 18-24 months. It is a thesis-based program. The programs emphasize faculty expertise and interest in three designated areas of departmental concentration. An Advanced Issues course is offered every year in each of these departmental concentrations:
- Social Justice and Inequality
- Economy, Work, and Development
- Critical Health Studies

Academic Eligibility:
- Students should have completed a 4-year bachelor's degree in computer science or related field from a recognized university.
- A degree granted by a university of recognized standing is required.
- A minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.33 (B grade) in the last 60 credit hours of study is required.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Completed a 4-year UG degree with an upper second class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
