Bachelor of Science [B.S] Geomechanics
A four-year program in geomechanics is offered jointly with the Department of Mechanical Engineering for students interested in the application of the field of mechanics to problems associated with the atmosphere, rivers, lakes and oceans, and the solid earth. Students successful in this program are well equipped for graduate work in a variety of fields, including geophysics, hydrology, structural geology and rock mechanics, engineering geology, limnology, and coastal and marine geology.
