Dietetic Option: Dietitians may work in the clinic or the community, with many employment options in the public and private sectors. The dietetics program at UH-Manoa, the only one in Hawai‘i, is accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Pre-Professional Nutrition Option: Students who are pre-med, pre-dental, or prepharmacy can complete courses required for their professional schools while pursuing the FSHN pre-professional option.

Food Science Options: Students pursue learning in food chemistry, microbiology, structure, engineering, safety, regulation, sanitation, quality control, and business-oriented courses.

Sports and Wellness Nutrition Option: Students are prepared to enter many different health-related careers such as health educator, corporate wellness educator, strength and conditioning coach, group exercise instructor, personal trainer, and many more.
