  • Upon completion of this degree, students will earn their Adolescence to Young Adult (AYA) teacher license in integrated mathematics.
  • The program includes a wide array of courses meant to expand mathematical content knowledge from calculus to upper-level mathematics. In addition, students will take education courses with accompanying field experiences designed to provide students with a foundation in the educational process, culminating in a semester-long student teaching experience. During each practicum, (i.e., field experience), students will spend time in a middle or high school math classroom observing teachers, interacting with students, and learning how students think about and understand mathematics.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education degree will allow students to graduate with a solid understanding of mathematics and be ready to enter the classroom as a mathematics teacher.

Academic Eligibility: 

  • Students must graduate from a U.S. high school.
  • Students must have their foreign transcripts evaluated by an independent credentials evaluator.
  • Students are required to maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA.

Language Requirments:

  • Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores. 
  • Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission. 

International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.

TOEFL, PTE, and IELTS scores are only considered official when they are sent to the Office of Admissions directly from the Educational Testing Service (ETS).
