Basic courses in physics, mathematics, and chemistry will help you set a foundation for the understanding of classical and modern physics and their applications to biology and biomedical diagnostics.

• Jump into research as an undergraduate by working with faculty and graduate students on topics like optical spectroscopy and imaging, microscopy, nanoscience, biophysics, biomedical diagnostics,
  infrared spectroscopy of molecular clusters and graphene materials, and theoretical studies of many body systems.
• Explore the opportunities to participate in biophysics research at TCU and the Center for Fluorescence Spectroscopy and Nanomedicine (CFTN) at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, and become a part of the fight against cancer, asthma, cystic fibrosis, cardiovascular and other diseases.
• Learn computer modeling and mathematical analysis of complex processes in the human body, or study those on the scale of a single molecule.
• Discover internships with companies in the area like Lockheed Martin, Smith & Nephew, and Motorola, and participate in summer research at TCU and universities across the country.
