Textiles and Fashion Design is a unique hybrid program that combines a deep understanding of materials and techniques with an academic base of history, science, and contemporary design. This program consists of special topics that focus on environmental, economic, and cultural sustainability as well as technology and non-traditional entrepreneurship. The program emphasizes interdisciplinary partnerships and encourages learning by doing in studios, outreach projects, and sustainable practices.

  • To receive a bachelor's degree from UW–Madison, students must earn a minimum of 120-degree credits.
  • Degree candidates are required to earn a minimum of 30 credits in residence at UW–Madison.
  • Undergraduate students must maintain the minimum grade point average specified by the school, college, or academic program to remain in good academic standing.
  • Students must attest to secondary and senior secondary/intermediate education board results with the application form.
