Bachelor of Science [B.S] Biomedical Engineering

A degree in biomedical engineering provides students with a strong foundation in engineering, mathematics, chemistry and biology and teaches them how to solve complex engineering problems in medicine. Rigorous lecture courses provide students the knowledge necessary to succeed in biomedical engineering careers, medical school and graduate school. Laboratory courses engage students to solve complex biomedical engineering problems, communicate effectively and work in complex and dynamic teams.

The mission of the Bioengineering Department is to provide a state-of-the-art, highly interdisciplinary, teaching and research environment for undergraduate and graduate students. Whether at undergraduate or post-graduate levels, our students will be able to reach across traditional disciplinary boundaries, and work effectively with experts in engineering, life sciences, and medicine.

Academic Eligibility: 

  • Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
  • Students required to maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA.

Language Requirments:

  • Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores. 
  • Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission. 

International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
