- In the Spanish program, students will study the language, literature, and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world. Over 400 million people speak Spanish as their native language and it is the official language of 21 countries; it’s also one of the official languages of the United Nations and the European Union.
- More than 40 million native Spanish speakers live in the United States, and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish will develop their fluency and communication skills in the interconnected world.
- Chicago is a diverse city with numerous Latin American communities. Students practice their Spanish while exploring festivals, neighborhoods, restaurants, museums, and other cultural institutions that will allow them to experience firsthand the richness of the Spanish-speaking world.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students are required to maintain at least a 2.0 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
