University of Liverpool Postgraduate Scholarship for Developing Countries 2023
Candidates have an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary Ph.D. studentship. They also get an opportunity to join a large project including academic and industrial partners to discover new materials as supports for Fischer Tropsch and CO2 utilization catalysts. The chosen candidate will investigate ways to create high surface area porous metal borides, metal nitrides, and other related materials onto which different catalyst nanoparticles can be deposited using a variety of experimental approaches, including robotic high-throughput methods and contemporary informatics methods. The study will incorporate advanced structural analysis (crystallography), synthetic chemistry, and characterization using sorption and spectroscopic techniques. As a member of a cohesive team, the chosen candidate will also gain expertise in scientific communication and teamwork.
