University of Göttingen Stephan Klasen Fellowship for Developing Countries 2023

Today, Göttingen is the largest and most well-known destination in Germany for research on emerging nations. A pioneering junior professorship at the Faculty of Business and Economics has also been established by Stephan Klasen. Two postdoctoral fellows will be awarded to Göttingen each year beginning in 2021 for a one-year scientific exchange (no teaching required). Each year, the fellowship will be promoted.

Application Requirements

Candidates from low- and middle-income countries according to the OECD DAC list (http://www.oecd.org/dac/financing-sustainable-development/development-financestandards/daclist.htm) are eligible to apply. Candidates are further required to hold a Ph.D. in development economics (or similar) before the start date of the fellowship. At least one of the two fellowships will be awarded to a female candidate. Disabled persons with equivalent aptitude will be favored.

The scholarship amount is in accordance with the University of Göttingen's scholarship giving policies, which are in turn based on German Research Foundation (DFG) policies.
