Resurge-Cosecsa Scholarship Program For African Medical Students
Approximately 30% of the global burden of disease is from surgical conditions and there is an estimated shortfall of more than 5 million reconstructive Plastic Surgery operations annually. To address this issue, ReSurge International and the College of Surgeons of East, Central, and Southern Africa (COSECSA) have created a scholarship program to help COSECSA trainees complete their Fellowship training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in their final year.

Application Steps
• Final-year Plastic Surgery Trainees who plan to take the Fellowship – FCS test in 2021 are eligible to apply. • The grant should be used to cover the costs of the Fellowship examination, including the examination, travel to and from the examination, accommodation, graduation, and COSECSA membership dues for the next five years. • The COSECSA Secretariat will manage the scholarship.
