MMEG Scholarships for Women from Developing Countries 2023

The Margaret McNamara Educational Grants (MMEG) program provides financial aid to women from developing nations in order to support their continued study and build their leadership capacities in order to better the lives of women and children in those nations. Women from low- and middle-income nations who want to return or stay in their home nations after receiving their degrees and strive to better the lives of women and/or children are given education scholarships of about $15,000.

Application Requirements

Applicant must be a self-identifying woman, and at least 25 years old at the time of the application deadline.
Must be a national of a country listed on the MMEG Country Eligibility List (except for the Trinity Washington University program).
Must be registered (not just accepted) at an accredited academic institution when submitting their application. Must plan to be enrolled for one full academic semester (half-year term) after the award of the MMEG grant;
Must plan to graduate no later than two and a half years after the award of the MMEG grant;
Must not be related to a World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, or Inter-American Development Bank staff member, spouse, retiree, or MMEG Board member.
