Mastercard Foundation Scholarships at University of Cape Town
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at UCT offers full scholarships to young Africans who are first-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree-seeking applicants. The scholarship package ensures that graduates produced are internationally recognized and locally applicable and they can easily transition into the job market. The scholarship covers the full period of study and is renewable annually subject to satisfactory performance and participation in the activities and opportunities offered by the program. Successful candidates are required to commit to returning to their home country after completion of their education to invest the skills gained in the growth of their countries .

Applicants must be academically talented. Must be economically disadvantaged facing significant financial barriers to completing their education. Must be committed to giving back investing in their communities, using the skills and knowledge that they have acquired.
