ICFJ/ONE Michael Elliott Award for Excellence in African Storytelling 2023
The Michael Elliott Award recognizes rising African journalists who work to amplify the voices of citizens and shed light on the profound shift occurring across the continent. The entries for the awards must reflect the most innovative journalism that is published annually. Winners are chosen based on the caliber of their articles and the effect that their contributions have had on localities. A personalized crystal award and $5,000 cash will be given to the victors. The victors will have the choice of spending up to two weeks at The Economist's London headquarters or participating in a custom study tour of US newsrooms.
