IAMAT Robert Haru Fisher Travel Medicine Scholarship 2022

This is one of two scholarships given to a physician or nurse who resides and practices outside of South Africa in an African nation. Practitioners with experience in travel medicine and the ability to grow the field in their own nation will be given preference. The Robert Haru Fisher Travel Medicine Scholarship will fund the chosen student. The South African Society of Travel Medicine manages the scholarship on behalf of IAMAT. The goal of SASTM is to lead the field in all matters pertaining to the practice of travel medicine, including the education and accreditation of travel health specialists.

Application Requirements

Living and working in a country in Africa where travel medicine is an emerging specialty, outside of South Africa
Knowledge in travel medicine
Capacity to expand travel medicine in the workplace and region/country
Proven excellent English writing and speaking proficiency

Dollar Range: The tuition, textbooks, local transportation, and lodging are all covered by IAMAT. Transportation to South Africa and any additional incidental expenses are the recipient's responsibility. After the course is successfully completed, IAMAT will pay back the scholar's airfare (economy class).
