Gerda Henkel Foundation Phd Scholarships
A major focus of the Gerda Henkel Foundation is support for up-and-coming scholars, in accordance with one of the founder's wishes. When approving funds, special consideration is given to allowing talented young researchers of both sexes to do scientific study for a limited period of time in order to strengthen their academic training. The Foundation aims to encourage highly qualified young academic talent as part of its Ph.D. program. Only those candidates are considered whose study achievements and exam performances show them to be especially gifted and whose Ph.D. theses can be expected to yield well above-average results. Currently, roughly 50 scholarships are given out each year.
