Futurelect Southern Africa Public Leadership Programme for Young Leaders

The nonpartisan political and government leadership programs offered by Futurelect are centered on ethical and transformative leadership and public purpose, and they are supported by high-level mentoring from former students and public sector professionals. The three thematic forms of learning at the core of Futurelect's public leadership program are Transformational learning, Transactional learning, and Systems Learning. Each program participant spends 9 months in deep learning over 7 in-residence seminar weekends at a series of different locations throughout their specific region.

Application Requirements

In order to qualify for this program, you must:
You must be a well-established leader in your field, your school, your neighborhood, and society.
You must be in a region that is a part of the Southern African Development Community (SADC)
Must be aged between 18 to 45.
Must be someone who is exploring if and/or how to run for elected political leadership or work in the public service
