Black Mountain Institute(BMI) Shearing Fellowship for Emerging Writers 2022

Black Mountain Institute(BMI) Shearing Fellowship for Emerging Writers 2022

Every academic year, the Beverly Rogers and Carol C. Harter Black Mountain Institute offers residential fellowships. In Las Vegas and on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), there is a lively literary community that visiting fellows join. They are supported by people and organizations who share the goal of bringing authors and creative imagination into the center of public life. This is a "working fellowship" in Las Vegas, but there are no official teaching duties. The visiting fellows at BMI will spend 10 hours per week in the office and perform 10 hours of community service. The major objective of advancing one's own writing during a term in Las Vegas is just one of the visiting fellows' many objectives. Compensation includes $20,000 paid over a four-month period.
