AHRN Shelter City Benin for Human Rights Defenders at Risk 2022
This program is a result of a five-year project of temporary relocation for human rights defenders in danger that was introduced by the Africa Human Rights Network (AHRN Foundation) in collaboration with Fondation Défenseurs D'Afrique (FDDA). The chosen candidate will remain in Benin for three months. A wide spectrum of activists will stay in the Shelter City Benin for three months as they recover, reenergize, learn new skills, expand their network, and raise awareness of the crisis in their country. Participants are expected to leave the program with fresh motivation and resources to finish their work at home.
