African Doctoral Academy Summer School Early Doctoral Programme (EDP) Scholarships for African Students at Stellenbosch University

The African Doctoral Academy (ADA) at Stellenbosch University offers scholarships to a limited number of candidates at the start of their Doctoral careers, the opportunity to attend research, publishing, scientific communication, and career-related training courses at the ADA Summer School that takes place in-person at Stellenbosch University. All doctoral candidates within the first 18 months of their doctoral degree, across all institutions and disciplines, can apply. Some of the scholarships are specifically for delegates from institutions that are partner universities of Stellenbosch University. Successful applicants will be able to enroll in a fully funded course, during Summer School.

Application Requirements

Candidates must be in the early phases of their Ph.D. (first 18 months). They can be from any discipline. Applicants must be enrolled at their home institution by 1 January 2023 and, have been enrolled for no more than 18 months by 18 January 2023.

Required Documents

Curriculum Vitae.
A certified record of enrollment at your home university that shows your start date for the Ph.D. program.
A written approval/referee report by your supervisor.
